Conor Madigan, Co-Founder and CEO
Conor Madigan co-founded Kateeva after completing a post-doctoral position as a research scientist at MIT. He has 10 years of experience working on organic electronic device technology, and numerous publications and patents in fields spanning physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, materials science, and software engineering. Conor earned his Bachelor's degree from Princeton, and his Ph.D. from MIT, both in electrical engineering. Kateeva is his first start-up.
Sass Somekh, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman
Sass Somekh is responsible for leading the development and driving the business growth of several key products in the semiconductor equipment industry. He is the retired President of Novellus Systems. Prior to joining Novellus he was an Executive VP and a board member at Applied Materials. During his 24-year tenure at Applied Materials he played a critical role in transforming it from a $50-million company to the $10-billion semiconductor-equipment industry leader it is today. In 2007, Sass has founded Musea Venture, a family venture firm dedicated to investing in Alternative Energy and Synthetic Biology. Sass received his Ph.D. from Caltech, and holds more than 50 U.S. patents.
Manush Birang, VP of Technology
Manush Birang comes to Kateeva with 30 years of experience developing Semiconductor Equipment. Prior to joining Kateeva, he was at Applied Materials for 22 years, where he earned the prestigious position of Applied Fellow. At Applied he designed and developed several highly successful products, including chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) and post CMP cleaning systems. He holds more than 100 patents, three of which are in the Applied Materials Patent Hall of Fame. Manush received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
Eli Vronsky, VP of Engineering
Eli Vronsky has more than 20 years of experience developing high performance, industrial printing systems for the graphics arts, electronics, and flat panel display industries. Eli was founder and CEO of PixDro Ltd, a pioneer in the development of inkjet systems for plastic electronics and display applications. Before PixDro, he was co-founder and VP of R&D of Aprion Digital, a world leader in industrial inkjet systems for large format graphic arts printing; Aprion Digital was ultimately acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2005 for $230M. Eli began his career at Scitex Corporation, where he rose to the position of VP of R&D for Output Imaging Systems, with annual sales of $400M; today Scitex is a subsidiary of Kodak. Eli is also a former fighter pilot in the Israeli Air Force. He holds more than 20 patents and received in BS.c. degree from Tel Aviv university.
